Microwave micro-plasma torch

is based on a l/4 coaxial resonator

The microwave micro-plasma torch is based on a l/4 coaxial resonator, which generates an electric field maximum at the tip of the inner resonator conductor. There the micro-plasma forms as an extension of the inner conductor. The shape of the plasma, the low gas temperature and the absence of an electrical potential are suitable for a wide range of applications in local surface treatment.
